Hi , just aquired a Yamaha 30hp with the following information on mounting bracket. 6J8, 30DMO, 402696. Does this give the year of manufacture ? Can anyone help as I don`t know which workshop manual to buy. Thanks

Not sure that motor is not sold here in the USA.
you might check with a local dealer.

Should be a 1985 model. Does it look like it's that old?

there should be a year-letter stampt in an corner of the plate....
