After 20 hours of operation, my new Yamaha 250hp 4-stroke has somehow ingested water into one or more of the cylinders and has quit running.
Since the unit is under warranty, Yamaha has offered to replace the complete powerhead assembly.
My question is this: how can I be sure that I will be getting a new 250hp powerhead and not a 225hp (or worse). I'm not saying that Yamaha would intentionally do such a thing but mistakes do happen.
Are there any identifying marks on the powerhead that will confirm that I am getting the right unit?
