problems with rigging digital tach....what parts needed?

just got new 2006 50TLR.
Also purchased digital tach #6Y5-8350T-81 (even though i just learned on this forum this has been superseded by -82). Anyway -81 is what i have.

The cable they gave me to go from the engine to the tach was cable #68F-82553-80-00.
One end hooks up to the tach fine, but the cable end to the motor does not match with connectors in the motor.
Is there another part i need?

I emailed you some instructions.
The engine only has one gauge harness connector, connect it to the 68F harness and use the plug you removed from engine harness to plug off the extra 68F harness connector. You will need to get an adapter, part number 6Y5-85335-00-00 and connect between gauge harness and Tach in order to make trim gauge work.
