I am installing a new 300 on my boat, replacing a 1989 225 excel. The shop is telling me that there is not an adapter available that will allow my new engine and my multifunction tach and trim guage to work properly. They state the tach will work properly but the guage uses a three wire connection and the new trim switch uses a two wire connection? Any suggestions?
