40 to 50

Does anyone know the difference between a 40 & 50 4 stroke? Can a 40 be easily increased to 50 by, for example, swapping the carb jets from a 50? Thanks.

Looked into doing it to my Honda.New head with larger valves, new camshaft and rejet the carb.

I had attempted to get this type of info on the 2 stroke being I wanted to get another 10 horses out of my 40. Understand that it a matter of changing carbs. But got no responses on this site. Maybe you will luck out.
