Oil injection on 1989 90 HP

Hello All, Thought would reach again for a little assitance. I am new to the forum, not new to outboards and boating. I just purchased 1989 boston whaler with Yamaha 90. I would like info on the multi-function gauge and how the oil injection should work (I am picking up a Seloc manual this weekend). I want be comfortable in its operation. I had a V6 Merc before and the self tests and warning horns were differnt, although the general design is similar. Any docs out there on this. My email is jonpolonez@aol.com

The 1989 gauge just had tach, trim gauge and oil level indicator. The oil level shows green when oil level ok, yellow when need to add oil and red when oil level is low and the warning buzzer will sound and the engine will go into RPM reduction.
