1993 Yamaha 85hp OB

I am buying, sight unseen, a 93 Aqua Patio pontoon with a 93 Yamaha 85hp OB. It was the stock motor with the pontoon. The boat has a 24 gallon fuel tank. I asked if the motor is oil injected. The current owner tells me that he has to premix the gas & oil. I would think that this particular motor with this set up would be oil injected. Is it possible that this can be a premix set up or is the current owner misunderstanding my questions?

If you look up an 85 hp Yamaha 1993 model in the online catalog above, you will see only one listed - a C85TLRR. It is a pre-mix.
