What causes the priming bulb in the gas line to collapse while the engine is running? I know I probably just need to replace it, but I'd like to know what that indicates. I just installed a Racor separator and don't know if that might be part of it.

restricted line flow or clogged tank vent.

That was quick. Thanks. Is the tank vent line something that can just be blown out with an air hose?

        Henry,
Try loosening the filler cap when the bulb collapses - if you hear air sucking in, and the bulb expands, then your fuel tank is not venting properly. Could be vent line is just kinked.

          Thanks,

Going to give it a shot this morning. I was worried that the Racor filter was causing it.

            Ken, and jb123,

Just wanted to let you know that I went over at lunch time and pulled the external vent for the fuel tank. The screen was probably 80% blocked by salt and a dead spider, a big dead spider. Cleaned that out and now have full flow. Didn't have time to put it in the water, but will try it this evening.
