I was googling "wiretap" awhile back. It seems the courts are very tough on issuing warrants to allow law enforcement to use them. In a given year, less than a 1000 legal wiretaps are authorized in the entire country. Or so the article stated.

Seems like every time a warrant is needed there will be some judge that will issue one. With or without probable cause. All in the name of justice.
If you got nothing to hide why won't you answer our questions or let us search your (fill in the blank).
It is not normal for you to have a thousand bucks cash on you. We are seizing that money (to be spent by the local police station) and you can sue the government to get it back. Good luck with that.
