The use of a spring clamp at one end of a high pressure fuel hose and an Oetiker clamp at the other end of the same hose?

If the spring clamp is good enough at one end why not use it at the other end?

    What am I missing?

Looks like the OEM used the o ring since not available as a separate part. Yam attached the other end with the lesser ring. Which is shown as a part number.

Recently my air hose came off my turbo charger. It's been a continuing problem. Why does the other end not come off?

I mention this because both ends of a hose tend not to be equal. This is for various reasons such as the fitting style and temperature, and in my case the proximity of oil discharging from the turbocharger getting under the seal.

But there is also the forces created by the fluid in the hose; all things travel in a straight line and when made to turn such as in a bend there is an equal and opposite reaction on the pipe at that point. Think what happens when the water is turned on a fire hose it straightens and forces the nozzle back, that requires a number of men to manage.

So who knows, the Yamaha design engineer may have thought that the further end from the pressure source after a bend requires a stronger clamp?

I vote for the size, type of fitting the hose slides onto
