Re: F90TLR, 2006 90hp
Question:
If I use YDS, what parameters would I look at to lead me in the direction to fix this issue? First, I'd like to narrow down to either fuel or electrical. Is that possible using YDS?
Background:
Initially, I used the YDS and it led me to the ISC valve was defective or at least I thought that was the issue. The static test seemed like the stepper motor was not consistent. The active test did increase the rpm. Ordered a new part, installed but have the same issue of not idling properly.
The motor wants to die when I put in neutral. When I do get in gear it runs rough at lower rpm.
At this point, I have a new ISC with a motor that doesn't idle properly.
The boat/motor was in storage for 5 months in Fla. I put the boat in the wate and it ran fine the first time. The next time I noticed that it was difficult to idle but could play with it and get into gear. It seems to run fine at WOT. Took out once more and then I had real problems. Limped back to the lift and there it sets.
Any suggestions?

I added this after init post...is the TPS volt to high? Saved data from YDS.

Notice that the DataLogger info below the following data:
rpm @ TPS voltage
3500 @ 1.54
3650 @ 1.80
3750 @ 1.70
4000 @ 1.88
The rpm is linear but the TPS voltage is not. This doesn't look correct to me. If the rpm increases the TPS volt should increase...it doesn't.
Any comments?
