Fairdeal - Both boats running?

Pretty quiet around here. Good time to ask.

The Whaler was completely unscathed, under the house.
T-top canvas was shredded on the Sailfish - got a replacement already from a nice guy on TOS.

The surge was high enough, while the boat was strapped to the dock,
to reach ~4" inside the cowling of the F225 - engine tilted forward.
So all the electrical connectors in the bottom of the pan were immersed.
(the water drained away, but left behind organic matter)




Before I reconnected the battery, I disconnected everything, washed with fresh water, then isopropanol, then reassembled with dielectric grease.

Engine fired right up, is running great.
I've been out a few times - have to go slow in nearby waters, still some semi-submerged debris.
But I got out the other day beyond the reef and found mahi:

Was back up on the lift when I came back, don't know who/how it was done

But his insurance company "totaled it" - SeaTow dragged it away.

AFAIK the Yams never went in the water - nor even the console - just the wiring in the hull.
Somewhere someone is going to get a fantastic deal on a great project boat.

Whats a 270 Everglades cost? $250,000? Well made boats. Friend has a 243. Completely different animal than my Century. Made me feel quite inadequate.

Some one, some where, always has a bigger boat. Or member.

My 14' Skiff gave me the most bang for the buck of the vessels that I have owned.

The plainest girls were always the most fun and offered the least hassles over the higher maintenance types.

First of all, it's damn slow around here. Time of year you say? Best time of year I say....

Where is Yam?

How about Fairdeal? Moved down from NY and now has become a regular old Margaritaville pirate! Just needs an earring and some tats. Bet there is a shop nearby.
