  • It's Dead!

Pulled to the dock with everything working fine on the 2002 Skeeter with a ProV150. Shut it off while I backed the trailer in the water and then it wouldn't start, trim wouldn't work, no guages, no lights - nothing.

Checked the battery connections and all the fuses I could find but everything looks good.

    Any thoughts?

My thought is that it is a battery, fuse or a wiring problem.

Does the battery have ~ 12.6 volts?

Does the motor have battery voltage at the starter motor relay terminal?

Does the motor have battery voltage to the fuse?

Does the motor have battery voltage from the fuse?

Does the red wire terminal in the ten pin connector at the front of the motor have battery voltage?

Does the red wire terminal in the ten pin connector up at the key switch have battery voltage?

Is battery voltage being made available to the key switch?

If you have voltage don't forget that a ground is also needed.

My bet is on a bad/loose/corroded ground connection.....
