I bought a boat in May with an 06 F115
So far I am thrilled with purchase

The owner didn't know how many hours are on the motor and wasn't sure if the water pump had replaced
Also didn't think the timing belt was ever done

Do you think it would be good insurance to have both done over the off season ?

It is a great ideea to replace the water pump impeller and the timing belt. If I remember correctly, your timing belt must be replaced at 1000 hours or 5 years.

I had a problem with my timing belt too. Apparently it was in a very good condition after 10 years but actually it was stretched over limits. It depends on where you used the boat.

In my country there is a big temp difference between summer and winter (in summer 40 degrees Celsius and in winter -10 or -15 degrees Celsius). This big difference affects the timing belt condition, especially if I use the boat in winter, which I did it quite often).

If I were you, I would change oil, oil filter, all fuel filters, including the VST filter (since 115 injectors are quite sensitive to fuel condition), thermostat. That's because you don't know how many hours do you have.
