  • 2006 F150 wont start.

I have a 2006 F150 that I replaced the water pump on, I did not try to start it before but now it will not crank, no gauges no fuel pump all that works is the trim. I have tested the netural saftey switch, did a load test on battery, tested fuses, have not tested the starter relay. I dont know want else to test. HELP..

Did you check to see if there was power to the starter motor?

    I would guess you don't...

Connections and wiring are most likely your issue.

What kind of boat? Where are batteries located?

Boat is a 22ft seahunt center console, battery is 4ft from engine.

I'm guessing now, but everything that doesn't work (except the T&T) goes thru the ignition switch.

I'd be checking the wiring at the ignition switch

The T&T will work as long as there's 12 volts to the engine (and doesn't need the key on to work)

          .

Someone else will chime in more knowledgeable about electrons...

            I like your thinking, Scott.

certainly "no gauges/ no fuel pump" is not a "starting" problem.

The OP needs to see if he has 12V on the red wire coming out of the 10 pin harness

Hmmm. Thinking back to my own issues on F150...

You have Yam LCD gauges. They don't work at key on or key start?

Problem solved, when testing the key switch I was shaking cables and the muti pin connector just fell apart. I cleaned and lubed the pins and reinstalled it, problem solved. Lucky this time, thanks for all the help( loose connection..)

                  Excellent!

Better it happen there then out on the water!

Good guess from a "Backyardian" with no certifications on the wall!
