This looks like the right place to ask this question. I recently bought a boat with a '03 Yamaha 60tlrb and I am stocking up on normal maintenance parts like impeller, plugs, thermostat, etc.. I was wondering about the need for the chrome replacement waterpump kit. I'm thinking that in the long run, it would be in my best interest to replace the entire waterpump with this kit instead of just the impeller, but wanted to get some input. Any suggestions? This motor will spend time in salt as well as fresh, but so far only fresh. I only have 50 hrs on the new motor and don't really intend to replace the impeller/water pump ass'y until next spring. This boat will not be 'put up' for the winter, duck season is about to start and the bass are beginning to come out of the summer doldrums.
