I recently purchased an 04 vmax 225 that i am rebuilding. It didnt come with any rigging. What harnesses and guages am i going to have to purchase and since its a bass boat will i need the 705 control box. The motor has a 9 pin connector but everything i have seen shows a 10 pin. Thanks for the help

Would be nice to know what kind of Vmax. Vmax is not really a model. Could be a two stroke EFI type, two stroke HPDI type or four stroke type.
The motor has a nine pin connector probably because it does not have a choke. It uses a standard ten pin harness. That harness connects to the motor at one end and to the control box at the other end. You will need a key switch panel.
What type of gauges you want is entirely up to you. There are several flavours.

2 stroke HPDI sorry never owned a Yamaha before. The nice thing is it looks like they have made everything pretty much plug and play as long as I have the right partsComment
