Looking at buying boat with a 2001 250 OX66 engine. Any issues I need to know about?

Unfortunately you are right. Got rid of my boat 2 years ago after I blew up the LZ250TXRB and just am not getting out fishing, need a boat. Unless I win a lottery used and old is where I'm at (maybe). Thanks anyway.

not sure if the 2 stroke 250 had problems with exhaust stack corrosion or if it was only on the 4 stroke

The ox66 series of engines from the late 90's through early 2000's were among Yamahas most reliable engines. If you are not familiar with them, have a Yam Tech check it out. Keep up on the general maintenance and the o2 sensor clean and it should serve you well. No corrosion issues of the early V6 2-strokes.
