F90TLRD trim motor

I have a 2005 F90TLRD with a bad trim motor.

Boats.net identifies a replacement yamaha trim motor as part number 6D8-43880-00-00.

I found a much cheaper aftermarket one on amazon which says that it replaces part number 6D8-43880-01-00. Are these equivalent part numbers?

Also, the amazon part says that it is for a short shaft application. Howe do I check if my engine is a short shaft?

6D8-43880-00-00 was the original part number. It was replaced by part number 6D8-43880-01-00. The -01-00 was replaced by a -09-00.

The same pump motor is used for a long shaft or a short shaft F90. Your model has a long shaft. Thus the L in the model designator.
