  • SX250 question for rodbolt/anyone

When the key is turned to the on position does the fuel pump get its ground through the resistor or directly from the CDI?

I am guessing that it initially gets the ground from the CDI directly and then the CDI shifts to the ground through the resistor when the engine is idling/at low RPM. Is this correct or not?

    Thanks

    that would make some since,

but i would think it would run thru the resistor until it knows the motor is running and above a set RPM before grounding directly.

may need for someone to do some testing if Yamaha will not tell

it grounds direct. the resistor is only used when running below about 1200 RPM. this stuff aint difficult.
the only reason the resistor is used is to prevent the pump from running in a stalled condition for long periods.
