It's only the two wires from the tt motor that get hooked in and a plug, the rest is pre wired.i checked the wiring compared to the other motor and every thing is right, but power to both terminals at the same time can't be right.

That must be a great diagram,,only wish it made sense to me.

you see the 2 red wires?
          they are hot wires
see how they are hooked to both relays

I think we are discussing two different relays, mine is the sealed box with 6 terminals.

looks like 2 wires(terminals) from motor
2 from switches, and a hot and a ground would be 6

there are actually 8 terminal - but 2 are capped off so 6 used:
One for each motor lead, one hot for each side, one ground for each side
The 4 leads for the coils are potted right into the device

each relay half is effectively SPDT -
unenergized, both blue and green are connected to ground
when either coil is energized, the contact comes off ground and switches to hot

I suppose a "fault" in the control wiring - the t/t switches -
could result in both coils simultaneously being given power to actuate

but I'm "drawing a blank" as to how that "fault" could come about...

                    aha!
I "tossed and turned" a bit last night, once I realized
that if you had the blue and green switch output leads both getting power simultaneously
                    (still can't imagine how)
both motor leads on the relay would be hot

glad you tracked down the problem
well, you own a small fortune in spare relays now....
