Hi hope someone has had this problem before. Bought the boat used, both lift fuel pumps were bad , replaced both and fuses.Motors idle great , but when you take off quickly 1 motor all but dies and sometimes pops the othe motor will run almost everytime but occasionally it will lose power but never like the first.If you start out real gently you can get on plane at about 3200,but if you try to increase rpms the motor immediately loses power and pops,and if you quickly get out of the throttle it runs fine at the rpm you are at,roughly 3200. Compression good both motors,found some trash in both fuel chambers that hold the second pumps cleaned out and replaced screens for secondary pumps.have run both motors on test fuel tank ,eliminating the boat and still have the same problem.Power tune both engines,plugs look good. Boat ha sbeen at a dealer for 3 weeks now no answer,they say no codes,I'm lost and need some help. Thanks for your help Fred

What you are describing is normally a lean fuel condition, low fuel pressure to injector rail or injectors plugged up. The dealer should be able to trouble shoot for that when running boat at the 3200 rpm's. -
have there been many problems with the pressure regulators for the rails? motor runs way to smooth to have plugged injectors,applying my knowledge as an auto mech.does not ever miss or run out of fuel just shuts down like a kill switch, then if you stay in it then an ocassional backfire or lean misfire.Thanks for the reponse ,im in the process of trying to find another reputable dealer in the tampabay area.Can anyone recomend one, Thanks FredComment
