  • charging rectifier

I have a 2016 8 hp and I'm adding a rectifier. The bolt it came with is all but useless. there is only one place to mount it with out a bracket and viable ground. I can't find any pic's or diagrams for placement.
    Thanks

Are you in the US? Is this an F8. F as in four stroke?

The T8 is shown ash having an R/R mounted during production. I would mount an R/R on an F8 in the same location as is used for the T8. See diagrams below.

The way the harness is this looks like the only place. The two grounds will be on the bolt in pic

That does not look like the correct place to me.

If you look at the diagrams it appears that the R/R bolts to the aft side of a piece that bolts aft of the CDI. With the attach bolt being positioned sideways with the threaded section forward.

What is the part number of the R/R you are trying to install?

Keep in mind I am working from diagrams. I sill don't even know the model of your motor.

You are not trying to attach it to the correct mounting point.

Let the parts catalog be your guide. After all else fails, follow the directions.

It is. If you use the correct plug point.
