2015 200hp engine knock!

Hello guys
Anyone have any issue with the 200
Sounds like I have a internal knock
The guy I bought it from thought it was the lower unit
But it just came in I just put it on and the knock is still there !
Sounds internal! Crank? Or rod?

Any dealings with yamaha warranty?replace complete block or will they send me a pile of parts?

Yamaha USA will normally replace a defective assembly. For instance, if a rod bearing has failed they provide a new short block. Or long block. Depends on the model. They don't provide a new bearing and have the mechanic install it.

But Yamaha USA will only send the assembly to a Yamaha dealer and have them install it. They don't generally send parts to customers.

What other Yamaha distributors do is anyone's best guess. I don't have a clue. I have a suspicion that in central and south america actual repairs are made where the motor is opened up for internal surgery. But I was wrong once.
