  • Digital gauge glass distorted

Wonder if there is a replacement for the ,guessing, plexiglass gauge shield as mine became distorted by the sun..

If just the plexiglass is crazed then try using one of the headlight restoration products. You can find it at your local auto shop. 3M makes a kit for instance.

Now if the LCD is damaged then you can go to The Hull Truth - Boating and Fishing Forum and find a repair procedure. I think the guy that posted the procedure is even offering to do the repair for a fee.

This guy started a yamaha gauge repair business after following the gauge repair instructions posted by a different THT member. His website is here: GaugeSaver.com – LCD Gauge Restoration and Repair

If the LCD is toast then the gauge is toast. But from what he tells me the majority of the time it's the front polarizer and/or rear reflector that is damaged. If you don't know if the LCD is toast, but after sending to him he determines it is, he'll buy your gauge for $25 to use for spare parts. To repair/restore gauge is $50, which is a great deal. You cover cost of shipping back and forth. He'll restore the glass and replace the front and rear polarizer.
