I have recently acquired a 40 Yamaha TLRB with the pilot light in the bottom front of the lower cowling. I understand from reading the manual that it indicates oil conditions such as green= oil level good, yellow= low, red = stop engine no oil. I have no lights at all on while running. I have verified that the warning horn is working as a result of draining the oil tank. So would this mean that there is most likely something wrong in the light itself? If the warning horn is working why do I need the light anyway? Does the light just back up the horn or vice versa? Also, if the auto oil injection system malfunctions is there any warning at all? light, horn or just a sudden stop
thanks in advance
