2007 f150 oil leak

Hello fellas
I have a 2007 150 with less then 400 hrs on it.i have been noticing oil staining around lower cowling!when I look inside I notice a little oil at front base of block on the shifter side!any insight? TIA

The balancer is very close. You can see the two bulges right behind the fuel filter.

You might want to run your finger along the bottom edge of the balancer, feeling for any oil leakage.

Do you know if your engine has had the balancer replaced(IF EVEN REQUIRED)?

If so, they only use a thin coat of sealer between the block and balancer.


As the intake silencer is right there, you also want to peek in there and see if it's dry..
