2004 2 stroke 30DEO occasionally keeps running when ignition is turned off. Pulling the kill cord doesn't work either. Can be stopped by pulling out the choke on the engine. Engineer from Seastart never come across this before. Any ideas on cause and/or cure?

With the motor running, disconnect the male/female bullet connectors for the white wire that comes from the CDI. Then apply a ground to the female bullet connector. The motor should stop. If it does, fix the wiring or connections from the ground to the kill switch to the CDI. If grounding the white wire does not stop the motor suspect that the CDI has failed.
