on a 1995 200 txrt it is in service manual page 3-24.
If you don't have service manual - do not attempt any adjustment or service, unless you intent to screw up your outboard.
Its amazed me that people don't want to spend $10 to have service manual.

Pictured below is from my engine service manual, '98 115hp. Pretty sure your model also utilizes the same oil injection pump system.

Maybe I am off base here. The Z motor and the carb motor has the same process for adjustment? Not breaking balls here....

I took a look at the models oil pump. It looked very similar, both are gear driven oil injection pumps with a link rod. Only his model connects to the fuel injection lever whereas for a carb motor the link rod connects to the carbs. I'm not 100%, but it looks as though the link rod adjustment procedure would be the same.

From what I see, they don't.

I just learned that the Primestart device for the 2004 F60 has its ground applied by the CDI. Most don't.

I wish I had learned of this website back in 2006.

Continuing to learn, I remain uneducated.

the F60 in 04 does not use the CDI as a ground path for the two prime start devices.
it is the same as the 01-05 F50.

dunno where this stuff comes from.

the HPDI works well, until it blows.

the oil link rod on the 3.1L was to long from the factory.
this sheet aint difficult.
does require a tad bit of training and experience.

It comes from Yamaha. If Yamaha data is wrong, so be it. Would not surprise me, their being wrong.

An 04 F60 would be an F60TLRC. Covered by SM LIT-18616-02-67. This SM covers both the F50C model and the F60C models. The F50C is shown as getting its power from the R/R. The F60C is shown as getting its power from the key on power yellow wire with the ground wire leading to the CDI.

If the data is wrong, so be it. What did Yamaha say when you reported this to them?

Hopefully Mr. Almetelo will check the configuration of his motor and let us know to where the blue and yellow wires lead.

I strapped a Yam F40 to the back of my 14' aluminium skiff. Just to see. Between being scared to sh1t from time to time at WOT it was a lot of fun. Twas a bit touchy on the steering. Tiller steering it was. I was foreseeing my name in the obituary section of the local fishwrapper.
