  • Using Snipping tool in Windows

Is this the tool most of you use to copy bits/pieces from pdf files, etc?

I snipped but cannot paste or insert?

I use a program called "snagit". Let's me do some editing and add notes and such. But there is a one time charge of $49.95.

I use the Windows snip all the time.

Instead of uploading directly (you get a smaller picture), I upload to PhotoBucket, then use the "IMG" link, copy and paste to the thread..

For NOT using PB, you can also use the snipping tool, BUT you have to save it to your pictures (save as) mine shows up as "capture". It has to make it into your pic's on the puter..

Then when posting, (still on the typing page) go to "advanced", then you have to click thru, highlight YOUR pic and upload to the forum. Once uploaded, click "done". It should show up on your post.

Too small. These are the ones that Rod cannot open also. I'll post to tinypic and copy in as any picture.

        Thanks

          Ya did it.

In that mode, I like to post double click to enlarge as it WILL get much bigger and easier to read..

I think Rod can see the PB pic's.. It must be a setting on his puter...

For Windows systems I use Irfanview.. There are a ton of tools on Linux. You just need to find one you like. Gimp is always great but can be overkill at times.
