I own two 2002 Yam 115s. The hours on the tacs show about 92 each, I took it to Yamaha dealer to plug in and it showed 111, on one, 114 on other. I am in process of trying to sell the boat and a buyer typed in an Ecm number for some work that had been done previously. It showed that one of the motors had 1117 hours on it. What's up, can the computer be reset or manipulated in any way? How do I find the TRUE hours on my motors. Thanks

an ECM number? typed it into what?
the hours recorded in the "computer" - the Engine Control Unit - can't be reset.
It can be replaced with another - "second hand" - with different hours
or new - with zero

If you had the ECMs checked by a Yamaha dealer/shop and they did not show what the other guy says he saw, I would question what he says he found.
now if your saying the Yamaha shop read 1117 hours on one of the motors, I have heard of ECMs coming up with strange readings sometimes.
