Is there a dry drive shaft bushing in a 2005 115 Yamaha 4 stroke? If so, What are the signs that it is going bad?

Ok thanks. After not using my boat after 6 months I had the yearly maintenance done: oil change gearlube done new impeller and plate. I took it for a sea trial and I hear a whining noise when in neutral. The noise seems to go away when I get in gear front or back. After running it for 1 HR or so up to 3000-4000 rpm when I put it back in neutral the whining/rubbing sound was loud until the engine kind of winded down. Could it be this bushing?

In my F150, BEFORE I used the proper grease on the mid section bushing, it "squeaked" (like birds in the back round) at about 1,700 RPM's.
Couldn't hear it above that, if it did it.
In any case, that bushing should be greased with Yamaha's water proof grease if it hasn't been..
I initially used Marine wheel bearing grease that lasted a month or so, then washed out and squeaked again..
It's very rare it fails. There's clip that retains it in the mid section and the rubber in between the ID and OD is pretty thin...
Some folks have had the bushing wallow out the mid section itself.
If someone else did the service, greasing the shaft goes along with greasing the splines, un-less someone missed it/forgot, or used the wrong grease..
