Need some help/rough idle

Okay, thats where im at then, I will replace the fuel tank, fuel line/primer ball, and the fuel filter on the engine itself.

I have another tank that I havent used but cleaned it out spot less no crap in it at all.....would it be wise to use that tank or just go out and buy a new tank?

If it's plastic and clean, sure.

If it's metal and you KNOW there's no crap in it, maybe.
I'd personally shy away from this. All it takes is one little
spot of rust(say from the top where you can't see) and you get to
do another "do over".

Make sure all your o-rings (if using a quick disconnect) are good.
I would probably clamp the line directly to a nipple to avoid any potential
air leaks.. It doesn't take much of an air leak to cause issues..

Ok I will replace the tank for sure then.....don't want to do this again for the 3rd time.....

I will replace the fuel line with a new primer ball in it with new connect fittings as well.

2 issues you can see here.

One of the jets or whatever you want to call it in the carb which looks like it feeds the low speed jet is bent? Clogging up the holes in it so looks like I'll be ordering atleast 1 carb rebuild kit all the other ones were perfect. I may have over looked this the first time around.

Second I poured out the tank that i already cleaned but it was still full of crap which you can see in the 5 gallon bucket I poured it into.

So off to the store I go to get a new tank/line

Look like bits of old rust to me..bloody metal tanks.

Looks like someone hit that with a hammer last it was put back in place. You probably won't get that in a rebuild kit, I would think you will have to order that separately...

Keep at it you will get her going right soon...

All those lil particles are a job by themselves should they have gotten into the fuel system..

2 more questions the new tank I bought doesn't have a vent valve on it like my old metal one should it?

And should the primer ball get rock solid?

I remember my old merc 150 would in about 4-5 squeezes

No screw type vent on the cap?

It should get hard once all the air is out of the line AND the float needles are all sealing properly...

What kind of tank and line did you get?

Did you see the warning about attaching hose to tank? If not here it is:

Okay, I have that new nozzle on the way and should see it tomorrow....best weather of the year is here and the boats in pieces!

Installed a new fuel filter as well.....

If this boat doesn't run like new I don't know what to do....

I also replaced the spark plugs.
