F225txrd - no power, shaking - diagnosed!

So traveled about 35 miles today - motor running fine with 1725 hours on it

BUT - the last 1/2 mile - coming up my canal - something happened!

power dropped WAY off - the whole motor SHOOK and SHUDDERED

I had to advance the throttle just to keep moving -

what could have happened?

multiple cylinders misfiring?

maybe the gears in the lower unit seizing?

I could barely maneuver the boat to the dock to shut it down!

Needs to quit babying that engine so much. Run it up to 6000 and blow that thing right off.
