'92. 85hp lower unit swap

Have '92 85hp with a bad lower unit. Trying to find a replacement has been difficult. Is there a cross reference chart available that would show what, if any, other year/model lower units would bolt up?

Need the complete model identity. I suspect this is a C85 but...

yes, it is a C85

The part (upper casing) that the C85 lower unit attaches to is used on 1984 ~ 1993 C85 and 90 HP models.

688-45111-03-EK YAMAHA CASING, UPPER

So any lower unit from these motors should plug and play.

Now the 1993 90TLRR lower unit, part number 6H1-45300-13-EK, has been replaced by a -14-EK, a -15EK and a -16EK lower unit. Any of these lower units should plug and play on your model motor.
