I have a 2004 Yamaha 50TLR 2 stroke with 704 Yamaha throttle controls mounted on the consol. (Boat is a CC). The problem is while under way the tachometer needle drops to zero on the tachometer. One second it's at 3000 then zero. Sometimes if I hit the tilt button the reading comes back, sometimes I have to stop the boat - turn engine off and restart. Any ideas? loose wire? The wires from the Tachometer feed into the 704 control box- no exposed wires -just one black thick wire which probably contains (4+ wires) Thanks for any help..
