  • Command Link Plus to GPS Connection

Can anyone please tell me where I need to connect the blue and the white wire from the Commend Link Plus gauge? I have a Garmin 3010c which is a NMEA 0183. Do I need to use any of the open(unused) port wires? I have Port 3 that is not being used, would I connect the white(positive) from the command link plus to the "in" wire of Port 3 and the blue(negative) to the out wire of Port 3?

    Thank you.

you are only sending data one-way:
the Garmin is "talking" aka "Transmitting" aka "Tx"
and the CL+ is "listening" aka "Receiving" aka "Rx"

so for the Garmin Port #3, you need to connect the "Data out(Tx)" wire which is the white/blue wire

on this model, all the NMEA 0183 wires are (+)
so you would connect the Garmin white/blue to the Yamaha white

to "complete the circuit" you connect the Yamaha blue to Ground
