I had to replace my housing and prop shaft a month ago. When I got it back I lost my top end speed (was 70-73), now I can't get to 70. I am using a different prop, but it is a brand new power tech, same as I had previously. Only other thing different is I'm using the 2-part thrust washer now, was using the single piece prior. I am still running in the same RPM range before the work was done, no loss there.

The old prop was a little jacked...what started this was hitting something and it knocked off my skeg, bent my prop shaft, and bent a blade on my prop. the prop is in for repairs right now. The prop I'm using now is the same brand/model...new.Last edited by kmswiber; 04-18-2017, 09:09 AM.

you said when you got it back, does this mean you did not do the work?
Could someone that did the work put in different gears?
No sir, I did not do the work. I brought it to the place I bought it.
