  • SHO speed

I had to replace my housing and prop shaft a month ago. When I got it back I lost my top end speed (was 70-73), now I can't get to 70. I am using a different prop, but it is a brand new power tech, same as I had previously. Only other thing different is I'm using the 2-part thrust washer now, was using the single piece prior. I am still running in the same RPM range before the work was done, no loss there.

Sounds like the prop....how could the washer affect it? Don't know..
Bass boats are in a league of their own.

Do you have the old prop for testing?

yep, I would put the old one back on just to see what happens.
you said when you got it back, does this mean you did not do the work?

Could someone that did the work put in different gears?

The old prop was a little jacked...what started this was hitting something and it knocked off my skeg, bent my prop shaft, and bent a blade on my prop. the prop is in for repairs right now. The prop I'm using now is the same brand/model...new.

No sir, I did not do the work. I brought it to the place I bought it.

ask them if they used the same gears

maybe different drag from new housing

being a different prop, that maybe the only reason
