My 2004 225 hpdi has gone from about 24 psi down to about 15 psi. No overheating problems yet. Is it possible that the themostats could have debris in them causing them to stay open? Only about 25 hours on new water pump. Any suggestions?
Install the newly redesigned pressure relief valve. It has a mushroom shaped head to help prevent debris from blocking it open and loss of water pressure. Other than that you can check that the thermostats are clean. Use new gaskets on everything.
