Probably the same part that says to replace your sparks plugs in YOUR F150 which are WELL OVERDUE being original...

my truck gets taken in following the maint schedule per ford.
they fill out the logbook in my owners manual.

***Sorry but I have issues with NOT practicing what you preach, then get nasty about it..

There's so many things, in general, you Don't need a certified ford / Yamaha, etc mechanic to do.

Nope, can't change the oil/filter, change a tire, don't know how, not certified, BUT, I can do that on an outboard.

I've had more CERTIFIED mechanic's(including yamaha marine) screw up my engine, marine and motorcycle. YES, trained!!

My Yamaha F150 is due for another belt this year.
once the rubrail and some gel coat damage is fixed,by a professional, I will do the maint and place it back in service.
takes about 1.5 hours to change the belt.
takes me about 3hr to do one on a F250 v6 or a V8.
do I pull my plugs and inspect them.
no but I do use a KV tester and check how they are fireing.
if they foul Kv will be high or low.
if the electrodes wear the Kv goes up.

As you apparently prefer to have EVERYONE, who touches anything of yours be a "certified professional", of course that's your business..

However, just as you posted, you don't have to be certified or a Master Tech to perform much of the basic maintenance for the Yamaha OB.

That seems to offend you for some reason.

Sometimes us "Backyardians" have to fix the certified mokanic's f..k ups...

Coulda used some help removing all the sealer the MT spread inside my WP cup when I did my WP kit last.. No one will ever touch that pump again but myself. I'm not paying $100 plus an hour for a MASTER TECH using SEALER not called for or NEEDED for a simple impeller change.. BS.

from the factory Yamaha uses yama bond on the cups.
why I dunno.
some manuals call for it.
I use grease to retain the orings.
the cup is a captive audience.
I do watch a tech that does not lift up on the shaft while seating the collar and retainer.

I also use detergent to lube the pump on reassembly. not called for but it is easier on my hands.
I also use detergent when changing belt driven or shaft driven seawater pumps. that way when I start it I can watch for soap bubbles. got bubbles means it primed, no bubbles you got an issue.
