  • Yamaha 20hp Carburetor leak

    Hey guys

I took out my Yamaha 20hp 1981 today to try it out for the season. I had the carburetor cleaned to be sure that its clean, but now it's leaking on the connection where the fuel line goes in. When I prime it's squirts out fuel from it, and it also leaks when the engine is running.

Is it possible to fix? Maybe seal it with something..

Maybe cut the hose back a bit to make it a better fit?

It's not leaking from the hose, it leaks from the ****en thing. Look at the picture, i've marked it with a red ring.

looks like a drilled passage that is sealed with a lead or brass BB.
Do you think there is corrosion in/around it allowing it to leak

Maybe drill it out and replace.

But I have no idea where you can find something to replace it with.

might try an epoxy to seal it,
a good cleaning & JB weld , but do not know how well it will hold up to the fuel
