fuel leak @carb

i have a 1991 c30 yamy ob and i have a bad leak coming from what appears to be a factory made hole on the top port sid of carb. it doesnt appear to be threaded and if so where is screw?

Thats the bowl vent hole, the float valves in carb are stuck in open position allowing the carbs to overfill. Need to clean carbs to solve the problem.

ug. at the end of last season i ran motor out of gas which i never did b4, i usually treat fuel heavy then just stop it then fog etc. could that be why?? it ran fine before/during winterizing.

Try a shock treatment using SeaFoam or RingFree on that little C30 - you might get lucky and not have to tear the carbs down.

yup, i used some deep creep back thru the vent hole that was leaking and with a few taps from my magic hammer im good to go. tomorrow is my shakedown run, weather permitting.
