Replacement sx225txrz. Trim pump worked prior to the cash hitting his hand, but did sound a bit off. Then started acting up with intermittent down with solenoid clicking. Pump motor was filled with corrosion and a lot of white powder. Cleaned it up and got it working, but still was getting the intermittent down. With a test light on the solenoid, the up power wire that should go ground was only doing it occasionally. The power signal to both hot wires was working properly. So ordered a t/t relay. Got a green and blue hot for up and down. black for ground. white one don't know what it does, it's not a groundLast edited by scofflaw; 03-28-2017, 08:06 AM.

Did a clean up on the starter motor, resealed, installed a new starter relay. Everything works as it should, t/t switch on the side of motor works.
For some reason my binnacle t/t switch works fine but now up is down, and down is up. Apparently the binnacle t/t switch runs through the 10 pin cannon.
Could have sworn the binnacle was working correctly before I tore into this.

Not at the engine switch, but elsewhere. IDK if the wires can be swapped at the relay. Someone else will have to chime in... Not a biggon thou..
Swapping them after you get the correct electrical diagram should be easy..Scott

Cleaning the T/T motor up and expecting it to last from what I've read here is a waste of time and money.

I WOULD GREASE THE PINS THAT HOLD THE TILT CYLINDER AND THE T&T ASSEMBLY.. there ARE ALSO TWO VERY SMALL FILTER UNDER THE PUMP THAT MAY BE PARTIALLY CLOGGED. yOU CAN GET A BREAK DOWN ON BOATS.NET FOR YOUR PUMP ANF IT WILL SHOW THEM..iT IS ALSO A GREAT SITE FOR OEM PARTS.

I'm sure he tells...
I'd like to yank that failed piston out of the old engine thou, just for S&G's. If that block isn't damaged, might be worth messing with..Scott

Impossible to wire wrong....blue,green,black and white..Relay is color coded.
Up/down switch on motor was working in proper direction, it was the binnacle that was working in reverse. So I switched blue to green at the relay and turned the cowl switch upside down.
All maintenance done, headed to yacht club ramp shortly.
I would have given you that block if you asked, stripped it, and junk man removed it. Too old and corroded for meLast edited by scofflaw; 04-01-2017, 12:29 PM.

Motor ran flawlessly and 5 mph faster than older one. Tops of pistons looked carboned up, but with my WOT driving style, carbon will be gone before long.
Got me a $40 parking ticking at yacht club boat parking. No signage saying anything about paying. I pay enough taxes in this town....total BS
You can have a crack at this one when I blow it up. Not really sure how much WOT these motors can handle?
