Air in power trim system or ???

    leave it be.
    unless fluid has leaked out air has not leaked in.
    are you sure it is the actual ram moving or just slack in the various monts and bushings?

    I will warrenty that it has more torque backing down than slowing down.

    best you can do,especially in the salt pond, is do not touch a fastener unless you have to then use water proof grease on the threads,

    that trim unit is a sealed system.
    no leaks then no air in or oil out.

      Yeah it's definately movement in the ram not the mounts, I can lift the bottom end up further when it's on full trim and can see the ram extend.
      I know what you are saying about the bolts in salt water, I have some corrosion around the trim motor that I'd like to sort out but really don't want to remove it to spray it for just that reason

        Did this today and operated the trim a few times after retightening and now seems much better thanks.
