Scouring sw florida for a motor. Good ones sell in the matter of hours at this time of year.
Looking for advice from people that have owned or know ox66's.
Looked at a 2001 sx250txrz today, clean,clean,clean.
compression 115 on all cylinders. Starts up a bit sluggish, and has an occasional misfire around 1200 rpms
Guy's an old horse trader, and tries to tell me the double oil is making it do this. He's running it out of a jug that has 50 /1 in it. We be many miles from a gas station.
He wants $4200 for it, which isn't bad .....I don't want to drive to miami to do motor shopping. Texted him to get the skip out of it and I'll buy it, but no response...he's not that motivated.
I could probably beat him down, but what may I be looking at for a repair ?
