Sorry, it did not come "off of" a Chev, but it may have come "off" a Chev, that being correct grammar.

Neither would a carburetor for an R4360. It is about the size of an F150's block.

R4360 as in 4,360 cubic inches. As in 71,447 cc's for the metric minded folks.

Imagine the size of the ultrasonic cleaner for that bad boy.

Now if one carburetor could feed 28 cylinders back in the 30's, why does Yamaha need four of them to feed four cylinders?

I think this is the motor that had to be started in a very particular manner. If not, every single plug would be fouled. I think there were two per cylinder. There was one on display in Pensacola.

Nope not Pensacola. Air Force Museum Eglin AFB. Not too far from Pcola..

US Navy didn't need this beast of a motor

KISS, especially when your at 30,000' high...

Probably a 1,500 RPM limit engine, dual ignition, etc my be my bet..

cause Yamaha has to deal with ease of starting for some folks, smooth idle and a smooth transition from idle to WOT.

According to others, you actually mean Chevrolet

Anyway, enough of that frivolity, you need to clean the carb, as mentioned several times now.
