I have a rope start 25hp Yamaha and it kills my joints when cold.
Changed the plugs, cleaned the carb...still nothing.
Do you have any tips for ROPE START?
When warm, it comes to life at the first pull but fishing in cold waters and weather for 30-40min and...here we go again.
I've seen that many recommends to pull the choke while cranking but it's not possible with rope start.
My choke is actually a lever adjusting a flap at the back of the carb, which allow more or less air to be sucked into the chamber.
My wild guess is that it doesn't get enough fuel in the burning chamber when starting...can I spray some fuel into the intake, would it help or I'll rather flood it?
I read everywhere that old 2 strokes starts hard but isn't anything we can do to make them less fussy?
