I meant for your water pump housing, should have been more specific.

Good luck finding Loctite 572 locally. I could not find it at all when I reassembled my motor. I went with 567.

I just found 572 at Zoro.com I'd call them before ordering to be sure they have it in stock.
        https://www.zoro.com/loctite-low-str...?q=loctite+572

Now there is a new product, 577.
        https://www.zoro.com/loctite-pipe-th...49/i/G5770871/

Here's technical data sheets on all three, have fun!!!:

        https://tds.us.henkel.com/NA/UT/HNAU...ile/572-EN.pdf

        https://tds.us.henkel.com/NA/UT/HNAU...ile/577-EN.pdf

By the way, all these products are not really a "thread locker". They are more a pipe thread sealer. Also makes the bolts come out easier when removing. If you look in your manual, you'll see 572 is the most used recommended product on most of your bolts.

what I find funny is someone actually asking about torque on a non critical fastener.
grease it tighten it to a reasonable tightness and go have a cool refreshing beverage.
maybe use LT in the fresh pond, never in the salt pond.

Do you lightly grease the threads as well or just the housing?

only grease on the housing is to retain the orings.
then I grease the bolt threads and snug um up.
                not rocket science.

Thanks... That's what I've done before (W/O issue).
