Replacement oil pump 1989 130 HP outboards

I need to replace the oil pumps on both of my 1989 Yamaha 130HP motors. All of the online sources I have contacted state that the pumps (part # 6L1-W1320-00-00) have been discontinued and are no longer available via normal suppliers. I have now been directed to a conversion kit (part # 6E5-W1320-00-00) as a replacement. I am reaching out to the experts on the Forum to confirm that this part is as advertised and can be used to replace the defective pumps. Thanks in advance for your response.

No expert here but what you have heard is correct.

When you buy the kit hopefully it will have a copy of the installation instructions. If not, ask the selling dealer to provide you with a copy of bulletin O90-016.
